The Center for Innovation and Partner Engagement will help build a safer Virginia by forging partnerships and providing strategic support to Virginia’s law enforcement community. The Center is made up of four pillars: Holistic Wellness Services, the Law Enforcement Training Unit, the Leadership Development and Excellence Program, and Community Outreach Programs and Services.
The Holistic Wellness Services pillar is critical to supporting the overall health, safety, and well-being of both VSP’s workforce and law enforcement personnel throughout Virginia. The Law Enforcement Training Unit will deliver innovative training programs to agencies across the Commonwealth, strengthening operational readiness by providing consistent, high-quality instruction in critical public safety disciplines. The Leadership Development and Excellence Program will create and offer a comprehensive leadership development curriculum that includes a variety of in-person and virtual courses and robust coaching and mentoring opportunities. Community Outreach Programs and Services will include the YOVASO (Youth of Virginia Speak Out About Traffic Safety) program, a newly created Victim/Witness Services Unit, and a host of specialized support personnel to support VSP’s partners.
