May 2022 – New IDS Livescan Software Update Notification

IDS Software Update 3.8.1.8 will be deployed to all IDS Criminal Based Livescans as of May 2022. A new Charge Entry Screen will be deployed to assist in the entry of charges.  Please see the document below for instructions on how to use the new screen.

Livescan Help

All current LiveScan customers, please contact the VSP Network Operations Center (NOC) at (804) 674-2028 for all LiveScan equipment issues or processing errors. The NOC technician will forward you to the Special Processing & Analytical Support Section (SPASS) – Livescan Engineer for assistance.

Operating hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday.

After Hours Support

All calls received after 4:30 p.m. will be triaged by a (NOC) technician and sent to an on-call Livescan engineer based on severity. The on-call VSP LiveScan Engineer will be available 24 hours/ 7 days a week for Emergency assistance.

All concerns regarding LiveScan can be sent via e-mail livescan@vsp.virginia.gov. All e-mails will be reviewed within 24 hours by a VSP LiveScan Engineer.

  • All low severity calls received after operating hours will be addressed at the start of the next business day.
  • If you own an i3 or an Idemia/Morpho Livescan Unit, please contact your vendor for hardware and software support first.
